# Monthly Championship Series
A brand new online tournament structure is coming to Host WCG. All starting with this online event!
With a prize pool of £100, this is the biggest Host event so far!
Our new Championship Series will involve an online event every MONTH! And doing well in these events will not only net you a nice little cash injection, but also Championship Points towards our grand final at the end of the season.
The final will be invite only, to the best players from the events in the season, and will offer bigger prizes - and the grand trophy of Host!
We are looking forward to everything 2026 has to offer... here is to bigger and better things!
- Schedule: First Sunday of every month
- Format: Swiss rounds followed by Top 8 single elimination
- Platform: Online via Discord
- Entry: Free to enter
- Deck Requirements: Must follow standard tournament rules and current banlist
Players earn Championship Points based on their final placement in each monthly event. These points accumulate throughout the season and determine invitations to the Championship Series Finals.
- 1st Place: 20 points
- 2nd Place: 15 points
- 3rd-4th Place: 10 points
- 5th-8th Place: 5 points
- All other participants: 1 point
At the end of the season, the top players by Championship Points will be invited to compete in the Championship Series Finals - an exclusive event featuring:
- Invitation-only format for the season's best players
- Larger prize pool than monthly events
- The prestigious Grand Trophy of Host
- Recognition as the season champion
